Sarah
Sarah, also known as Cookie Monster, is a
buckskin Quarter horse cross. She stands 14.3 hands.
Born in 1979, Sarah held an active career in jumping and
dressage, competing in many hunter and paper chases. She
also served as a therapeutic riding horse until she suffered a
leg injury. Since her retirement to Ryerss Farm in October
2007, Sarah enjoys spending time with her friend, Dollar.
Sassy
Namar’s Sassy Lass is a
golden chestnut Arabian. She stands 15 hands. Born in
1976, she was a great trail horse with a daring attitude,
willing to climb and cross anything her former owner requested.
Sassy was known for taking things out of pockets, rearranging
laundry and untying lead lines. She loves carrots and
apples. Sassy retired to Ryerss in June 1994. She
can be found out to pasture with her devoted friend, Pirate.
Sidney
Sidney is a chestnut
Quarter horse and Thoroughbred cross. He stands 16.2 hands. Born in 1979, Sidney is known for his “smile.” Before
retiring to Ryerss in August 1997, Sidney walked the trails with
his former owner. Today, Sidney enjoys being out to
pasture with his buddies, Jamaica and Otter.
Skippy
Skipper’s Four Socks is a
chestnut Quarter horse. He stands 15.2 hands. Born in
1978, Skippy served the New York Police Department on subway
duty, and took a bullet for his officer. He received many
awards for service and bravery. Training includes National
Mounted Training Course, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and
Kentucky Horse Park. He was in the color guard, Musical Ride
Equestrian Team and won four gold, three silver and six bronze
awards for competition for police combat. He retired to Ryerss
in June 2005.
